Course Introduction

Welcome to the Anglais – NS IV Course!

This course is designed to help you develop your English language skills in line with the national curriculum for Secondaire IV students in Haiti. Whether you are in the LLA stream or the SES, SMP, or SVT streams, this course will provide you with the theoretical knowledge and practice opportunities you need to succeed.

Course Goals:

• To achieve the minimal competencies outlined in the official English program.
• To improve your understanding and use of English in various contexts related to daily life, health, travel, the environment, education, science, technology, and culture.
• To prepare you for further studies and real-world communication in English.

How This Course Works:

The course is divided into thematic modules. Each module will cover specific topics, grammar points, and cultural aspects. You will find:

• Theoretical Knowledge: Detailed explanations, examples, and texts.
• Learning Activities: Opportunities to practice what you’ve learned (many of these can be adapted from the “Learning Activities and Tasks” in your program document).
• Self-Directed Weighted Quizzes: To test your understanding and track your progress. These quizzes will include a variety of question types.
